Milton Dogfish Head starter Luis Torrez was in fine form against the Calgary Lynx at Milton Corner Tavern, leading his team to a 6-2 win. Milton now has a 3-game win streak.
Had Miguel Montoya not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Montoya hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Dogfish Head.
"We take it day by day here," said Torrez, "and today was a good one for us."
