Dogfish Head Prevail, 4-2, Over Calgary

The Milton Dogfish Head topped the Calgary Lynx, 4-2, in USPL Triple A action at Milton Corner Tavern. The player of the game was Milton pitcher Allen Duer. Milton reliever Paris Nowlin picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Ray Skipworth was saddled with the loss. Mario Hurrado closed it out for his 2nd save.
The Dogfish Head got a big at-bat from left fielder Edward Woodstock. For the game, Woodstock went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Milton a 3-0 lead.
"I felt good up there," said Woodstock. "I saw the ball well."
The win puts the Dogfish Head at 24-43, while the Lynx drop to 36-31.
