|
Plymouth Rocks starter Octavius Pringle turned in a top-notch performance against the Calgary Lynx at Lynx Stadium. The result was a win for the Rocks, 4-2. Pringle got the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. Pringle allowed 1 earned run. Roberto Aguirre closed the door for Plymouth, picking up his 14th save of the year.
Cosmo Bjorkenheim swatted a solo home run for Plymouth in the top of the seventh. The second baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 1.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Plymouth manager John Bush.
The Rocks' win now puts them at 26-37.
