Hotspur Reserves Get One-Run Win at Milton
|
The Phoenix Hotspur Reserves eked out a 6-5 win versus the Milton Dogfish Head at Milton Corner Tavern. Nobody did more than pitcher José Quiñones, who captured player of the game honors. The Dogfish Head, now 22-41, have lost 4 in a row.
Bob Curry aided the Phoenix cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Curry, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
