Buzz Win Again, Extend Streak to 6

Gustavo Pérez pitched well, but the Tortolita Drummers still lost the game, falling 2-1 to the Salt Lake City Buzz at Spirits Stadium. Léonard Moreau got credit for the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. Chico Landi got credit for the save for Salt Lake City. It was his 1st of the year.
Salt Lake City center fielder Vicente Cruz helped the Buzz to the win. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the 27-year old center fielder stroked a run-scoring single. For the game, Cruz went 1 for 2 with a walk.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Tortolita manager Arturo Chávez.
Salt Lake City improves to 38-25 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
