Hotspur Reserves Roll to 8-3 Win Over Dogfish Head
|
The Phoenix Hotspur Reserves topped the Milton Dogfish Head, 8-3, in USPL Triple A action at Milton Corner Tavern. The player of the game was Phoenix right fielder Bob Curry. Phoenix reliever Cobus Reijnen got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Allen Duer was tagged with the loss. Phoenix is now 29-33, Milton 22-40.
Bernardo Rivera, who leads the PAAA in doubles with 16, helped out the Phoenix cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 3 with 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs.
"I felt good up there," said Rivera. "I saw the ball well."
