Girard, Dogfish Head Rough Up Drummers

Yves Girard made an impact in the 18-3 Milton win over Tortolita. Girard went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Milton reliever Nick Richie picked up the win, upping his record to 3-5. Dave Seals absorbed the loss. Adrian Neumann got credit for the save for Milton. It was his 3rd of the year.
Edward Woodstock hit a 2-run double off Dave Seals in the top of the sixth, which put the Dogfish Head in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Woodstock had 2 singles and 1 walk, while going 3 for 5.
"Enjoyed this one," Woodstock told the Milton Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
Milton is now 22-37, while Tortolita is 34-25.
