The Pawnee ParksNRec topped the Calgary Lynx, 2-1, in USPL Triple A action at Lynx Stadium. The player of the game was Pawnee pitcher and Comerío, Puerto Rico native Luis Cuero. Cuero got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. Cuero allowed no earned runs. Mark Sanders picked up the save, his 1st.
The ParksNRec got a lift from first baseman Ken Bone who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning off Kenny Aarnoutse. It was his 18th RBI of the season and put Pawnee in front, 1-0.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Bone.
Pawnee is now 26-31.
