Dogfish Head Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Bloomington
|
Bloomington left fielder Silvio Bonauiti had a good game, even if his team did not. The Longnecks dropped a 7-5 decision to Milton at Milton Corner Tavern. Bonauiti was 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Milton reliever Vincente Ortíz picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Nick Taylor shouldered the loss. Joe Khokar, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.
The Dogfish Head got a big at-bat from left fielder Ed Lastinger. For the game, Lastinger went 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 11th hit of the season gave Milton a 6-4 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Lastinger said after the game.
The win puts the Dogfish Head at 21-36, while the Longnecks drop to 33-24.
