Longnecks Come Up Short at Milton
|
The Milton Dogfish Head had to overcome a big game from Bloomington center fielder César Gómes to leave Milton Corner Tavern with a 7-6 victory. Gómes was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Michael Brown picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-0. Pierre Levegh was tagged with the loss. Adrian Neumann got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
Marcos Deleón came through for Milton with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. The third baseman went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 3 runs batted in.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Milton manager Josh Jackson.
Milton is now 20-36.
