The Bloomington Longnecks got a stellar performance from pitcher Atila Freska, who handcuffed the Salt Lake City offense en route to a 6-2 win at Lookouts Ballpark. Freska, the winner, moves to 4-3. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. Salt Lake City's current losing streak is now 5 games.

César Gómes was 1-5 for Bloomington. The 20-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Shotaro Sugahara. It was his 5th RBI of the season.
