Longnecks Topple Drummers with Late Rally
The Bloomington Longnecks got a stellar performance from pitcher Gabriel Valenzuela, who handcuffed the Tortolita offense en route to a 2-1 win at Lookouts Ballpark. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Longnecks.

Had Carlos Cardona not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Cardona hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Longnecks.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Bloomington manager Terrence Mitchell said.
