Rhue Now 6-1 After Subduing Tritons
|
The Calgary Lynx got a magnificent performance from pitcher Pete Rhue, who stifled the Jersey City offense en route to a 3-0 Lynx win at Lynx Stadium. The Lynx saw their win-loss record go to 27-24. At the same time, the Tritons fell to 27-24.
Rhue earned the win, going 7.1 strong innings for Calgary. The native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma allowed just 1 hit, while striking out 9. Jersey City hitters did next to nothing against the left-hander.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Rhue said.
