Pitcher Atila Freska was sensational for the Bloomington Longnecks in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Tortolita Drummers. Freska received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Freska, now 3-3, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Picking up the save was Ieyoshi Asai, his 11th.
Ty Struck, who is tied for 8th in the PAAA in home runs with 8, aided the Bloomington cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the second. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 4 with a double.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Freska.
Bloomington has now won 4 games in a row.
