Buzz Double Up Plymouth, 4-2
|
The Plymouth Rocks got a superb performance from pitcher Rio Bavin. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Salt Lake City. The Buzz won the game, 4-2. In spite of the loss, Bavin was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball. Earning his 3rd save for Salt Lake City was Luis Bejarano. The Buzz have an impressive 28-17 record.
Christian Gentry, who is tied for 3rd in the PAAA in runs scored with 33, helped out the Salt Lake City cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 4 with a walk.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Salt Lake City manager Allen Bartlett.
