Victory Pushes Tritons Record to 23-21
The Jersey City Tritons went home winners at Jersey City Grounds, thanks in large part to starter Chris Sommer. Sommer silenced the Milton Dogfish Head, enabling Jersey City to grab the 4-1 win. Mat Tengku closed the game out for Jersey City, earning his 13th save. At 23-21, Jersey City is in third place in the Premier AAA.

The Tritons got a big at-bat from second baseman Dave Atkins. For the game, Atkins went 1 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Jersey City a 2-0 lead.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Atkins told the Jersey City News.
