Longnecks Fall Short, 4-3, at Salt Lake City
The Salt Lake City Buzz turned back the Bloomington Longnecks, 4-3, at Spirits Stadium. Gustavo Mateo was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Salt Lake City is now 23-12, 2 games up in the Premier AAA.

Mateo contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Salt Lake City in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Mateo took a fastball from Keith Rojas and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Buzz to leap in front, 4-1.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Mateo told the Salt Lake City Times.
