Longnecks Squelch Nobles Offense in Shutout Win
The Bloomington Longnecks topped the Bakersfield Nobles, 3-0, in USPL Triple A action at Jerome Grounds. The player of the game was Bloomington pitcher and Paris, France native Pierre Levegh. The winning pitcher was Levegh, now 4-3. He tossed 5.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 5. Getting the save was Vicente Escamilla, his 2nd.

One of the key players for the Longnecks was designated hitter Toussiant L'Ouverture, who drilled a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning. For the game, L'Ouverture went 1-4.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Bloomington skipper Terrence Mitchell.

Bloomington is now 18-11, Bakersfield 15-14.
