Late Rally by Tritons Secures Win
|
The Jersey City Tritons and Tortolita Drummers played a tight game at Jersey City Grounds, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.
Jersey City Tritons starter Javier Romero was in fine form against the Tortolita Drummers at Jersey City Grounds, leading his team to a 3-1 win. Ricardo Rodríguez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Ricardo Ruíz was tagged with the loss.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when first baseman Dani Durán drew a walk. The Tritons went on to win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Romero told the Jersey City News.
Jersey City, at 13-14, sits in 7th place in the Premier AAA.
