Cattlemen Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Rainbow Mermaids
It was a good time at The Cattle Pen, where fans came to watch the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids and Ft. Worth Cattlemen get after it.

Ft. Worth beat Northern Virginia on the strength of starter Robbie Betchley's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Northern Virginia's current losing streak is now 7 games.

Had Jesús Martínez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Martínez hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Cattlemen.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Martínez said after the game.
