Fightmaster Goes Wild, But Lynx Win
|
The Bakersfield Nobles got a superb performance from first baseman Theo Fightmaster, but the Calgary Lynx still won the game, 6-5. Fightmaster was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Earning his 1st save of the year was Ramón Costello. The win takes Calgary to 11-9.
Ted Striker tagged a home run off Jaganmani Vivek in the bottom of the third. His 2-run blast put the Lynx on top, 2-0. In all, Striker had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
Striker told the Calgary Times: "I was born for the big stage."
