Buzz Need Extras to Top Drummers

Salt Lake City Buzz starter Barney Starr was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Tortolita Drummers, 4-3. Salt Lake City reliever Luis Bejarano picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Briggs Bourgeois absorbed the loss. The Buzz, now 12-3, have been on fire in the early going.
The Buzz got a big at-bat from center fielder Vicente Cruz. For the game, Cruz went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. In the bottom of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 15th hit of the season gave Salt Lake City a 4-3 lead.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Cruz told the Salt Lake City Times.
