Kurihara Rips Northern Virginia for 5 Hits
Grey Wolves second baseman Terumoto Kurihara had his way with Northern Virginia pitching today at Atlantica and mauled them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Rainbow Mermaids ruined his great day by toppling the Grey Wolves, 5-4.

"I had a great day, but you've got to give Northern Virginia credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits."

"Oh, we noticed what Kurihara did today," Rainbow Mermaids skipper David Lister said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."

Terumoto Kurihara singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, doubled in the 8th, singled in the 10th and singled in the 12th.

Kurihara is hitting .379 so far this season with 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 11 hits including no home runs, no walks and .400 OBP.
