A 3-RBI performance from António Candelária helped the Louisiana Dragoons beat the Nebraska Plainsmen, 4-2. It was the 8th win in 11 games this year for the defending champion Dragoons, who are picking up where they left off.
Had Candelária not come through in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Candelária hit a 2-run home run. The Dragoons never looked back after taking the 4-2 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Candelária. "And not try to do too much."
