Billings played host to Ft. Polk South at the friendly confines of The Igloo.
Billings third baseman Gregory Shankland made his presence felt in the 5-3 Polar Bears triumph over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. Shankland was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Billings is now 45-51, while Ft. Polk South is 54-42.
Had Shankland not come through in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Shankland hit a run-scoring single. The Polar Bears never looked back after taking the 4-3 lead.
