Evergreens Lose, 5-1, at Ebbetts Field
|
The Brooklyn Dodgers got a strong performance from pitcher Addie Samson, who stymied the Portland offense en route to a 5-1 win at Ebbetts Field. In 6.1 innings, Samson surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Víctor García got the save, his 1st in 3 chances.
Yannick Hendriksen aided the Brooklyn cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman drove in one run.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Samson said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
Brooklyn now sits at 35-45, while Portland falls to 60-20.
