Rawhides Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Casper Ghosts and Belvedere Park Rawhides were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at The Graveyard.
The Belvedere Park Rawhides defeated the Casper Ghosts, 6-3. Earning player of the game honors was second baseman Jorge Alcantar, who was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Katsumoto Miyanohara got the win, improving to 8-4. He held the Ghosts to 3 earned runs on 4 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 4. Sam Pelsize earned his 21st save in 32 chances.
Alcantar had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Reuben Moerman, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Rawhides a 6-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Alcantar.
"Feels good to get the job done," Alcantar said after the game.
Belvedere Park has now won 4 games in a row.
