Thunder Hawks Roll to 8-2 Win Over Nationals
Fans at Nationals Park were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Ottawa Nationals take on the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks.

The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks beat the Ottawa Nationals, 8-2, at Nationals Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of shortstop Aaron Dixon, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Sam Schultz got credit for the win, improving to 9-4. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4.1 innings.

Dixon had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Thunder Hawks went on to win.

"I thought we played a nice game," Dixon told the Ft. Polk South Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

Ft. Polk South now has a 3-game win streak.
