Late Rally by Atoms Secures Win
|
Bethesda Atoms starter Manuel Ceja turned in a top-notch performance against the Lancaster Farmers at Atoms Field. The result was a win for the Atoms, 3-1. Hakan Yilmanz picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Pat Clement was tagged with the loss. Bethesda now has a 3-game win streak.
Bob Lambert was the walk-off hero for Bethesda. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Atoms right fielder hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Ceja told the Bethesda Citizen.
