Malamapono Leads Polar Bears to Win
|
The Billings Polar Bears downed the Ottawa Nationals, 7-0, at The Igloo. Kilipaki Malamapono led the way, going 2-for-4 for Billings. The save was credited to Francisco López, his 2nd. The Polar Bears now have a mark of 35-44.
Malamapono contributed when he hit a grand slam in the bottom of the eighth. Coming with one out and the bases loaded, the home run proved to be critical to helping Billings get the win.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Malamapono.
