Amaad Hits 2 home runs in Farmers Win
|
The Lancaster Farmers bested the San Antonio BC, 6-3, at Farmers Field. Tullu Amaad was named player of the game. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Mark Clift was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks and 8 strikeouts. Lancaster, at 45-33, sits in third place in the Menard's AA.
José Xirau was a key contributor to the win for the Farmers. In the bottom of the second with one out, the light-hitting first baseman stroked a single to left-center. He went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Amaad told the Lancaster Bulletin.
