Polar Bears Come Back Late, Nip Hops
|
The Yakima Hops got a superb performance from pitcher Patrick Buzard. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Billings. The Polar Bears won the game, 3-2. In spite of the loss, Buzard was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. Today's win puts Billings at 34-43, while Yakima falls to 43-34.
Mark Armstead made it 3-2 in favor of Billings when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with two out in the top of the ninth. The Polar Bears went on to win.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Armstead.
