Thunder Hawks Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Despite a fine performance by shortstop José Córdova, the Casper Ghosts suffered a 8-6 loss to the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. Córdova was 3-5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Ft. Polk South reliever Sam Schultz picked up the win to move to 7-3. Ángelo Román suffered the loss. Ft. Polk South has now won 4 games in a row.
Early in the game, third baseman Pedro Larate had a 2-run triple for Ft. Polk South. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Thunder Hawks on top, 3-2.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Larate, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
