Nationals Come Up Short at San Antonio
|
The San Antonio BC turned back the Ottawa Nationals, 5-4, at San Antonio Field. Toby Sutton was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs. San Antonio is now 21-50, while Ottawa is 36-35.
The BC got a lift from catcher Dixon Snyder who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Jesús Lara. It was his 15th walk of the season and put San Antonio in front, 1-0.
"I know we have our doubters," said Ottawa manager John Hill. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
