Hot N Readys Sneak Past BC, 4-3

The Hot N Readys faced a stiff challenge from San Antonio pitcher Jesús Franco, but persevered to claim a win at The Pizza Oven. The final score was 4-3. Franco went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The win was credited to Iván Gonzáles in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Evan Roy took the loss. Nick Kelley, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 16th save.
Lloyd Raaijmakers was 2-3 with 2 singles for Little Caesars. The 23-year old designated hitter had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Evan Roy. It was his 29th RBI of the season.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," San Antonio manager Tomás Medina said following the tough loss.
Little Caesars, at 27-32, sits in 8th place in the Menard's AA.
