Dixon Helps Ft. Polk South Cruise to 11-2 Win
|
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks met little resistance from the Little Caesars Hot N Readys, beating them 11-2 at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. Aaron Dixon led the way. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for Ft. Polk South. The Hot N Readys, now 24-30, have lost 5 straight.
The Thunder Hawks got a clutch hit from Wally Briggs with no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. Briggs jumped on a 2-1 fastball from Enrique Mateo and hit a single, staking his club to a 2-1 lead.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Ft. Polk South manager Mark Harrison.
