Polar Bears Continue Skid Thanks to Weber, Ghosts
|
It was a good time at The Graveyard, where fans came to watch the Billings Polar Bears and Casper Ghosts get after it.
With second baseman Steve Weber leading the charge, the Casper Ghosts defeated the Billings Polar Bears, 10-6, at The Graveyard. Weber, who is tied for 8th in the 3AA in RBI with 33, went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Polar Bears, at 23-26, have lost 5 straight games.
With Casper leading 2-1 in the bottom of the second, Weber hit a fastball from Salvador López for a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Ghosts ahead, 6-1.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Weber told the Casper Times.
