Polar Bears Fall to Farmers, 7-2
|
Manuel Núñez left his imprint on the 7-2 Lancaster win against the Billings Polar Bears. Núñez, who is tied for 7th in the 3AA in home runs with 7, was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the save was Mannus Dijkman, his 1st. Lancaster is now 27-18, while Billings is 23-22.
Lancaster grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Hou Kong delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 3-2 in favor of the Farmers.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Núñez told the Lancaster Bulletin.
