Extra-Inning Win by Farmers over Ghosts
|
The Lancaster Farmers did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Casper Ghosts at Farmers Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Javier Contreras, who captured player of the game honors. Contreras got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 0 over 10 innings. Contreras allowed 1 earned run. Lancaster, at 22-16, sits in second place in the Menard's AA.
The Farmers got a big at-bat from third baseman Hsi-men King. For the game, King was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the tenth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 24th hit of the season gave Lancaster a 3-2 lead.
