The Billings Polar Bears and Yakima Hops lit up the scoreboard at Hops Park.

The Billings Polar Bears relied on the hitting of catcher Juan Rico to stop the Yakima Hops, 14-8. For the game, Rico was 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 6. The Hops, at 17-19, have lost 4 in a row.

Rico contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Billings in the top of the ninth. With his team trailing 8-7, Rico took a fastball from Orlando Téllez and stroked the home run to left-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Polar Bears to leap in front, 11-8.
