The Virginia Beach Deuces topped the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 5-3, with youngster Iikka Karpinen playing a key role. Karpinen was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Deuces in the win. Yoshi Minamoto was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts. Urs Ehles got credit for the save for Virginia Beach. It was his 4th of the year.
