Farmers Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
Lancaster left fielder Manuel Núñez was a significant contributor in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Yakima Hops. He slugged 2 home runs for Lancaster. Benedicto Castellon earned the win for Lancaster. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 3 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 4-1. Pat Clement recorded the save for Lancaster, his 9th of the season.

Núñez had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the top of the fourth, when he hit a solo home run. The Farmers went on to win.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Núñez told the Lancaster Bulletin.
