BC Need Extra Frames to Get Past Nationals
|
San Antonio BC starter Júlio Luna was in fine form against the Ottawa Nationals at Nationals Park, leading his team to a 7-3 win. San Antonio reliever Felipe Vega picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ed Maresh absorbed the loss. The BC now have a mark of 7-18.
Renato Lavado had the most critical at-bat for San Antonio. With one in the top of the tenth inning, Lavado hit a 1-2 cutter from Ed Maresh for a bases-clearing double. It put San Antonio in front, 6-3.
"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said San Antonio skipper Tomás Medina.
