|
San Bernardino right-hander Dahab Kanda helped his team edge Yakima by the score of 2-1. Kanda kept the opposing lineup in check. Kanda, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up no walks. The Hops fall to 8-11 and continue their lackluster start to the 2031 season.
San Bernardino third baseman Ernesto Deleón helped the Grasshoppers to the win. In the bottom of the second inning, the 24-year old center fielder stroked a run-scoring single. For the game, Deleón was 1 for 3.
"If we keep winning the close games," Kanda said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
