Big Day at the Plate for Davis Not Enough for Divided
|
D.C. right fielder Wilbur Davis had a good game, even if his team did not. The Divided dropped a 8-5 decision to Panama City at The Tank. Davis went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Pedro Alejándrez got the win, improving to 10-5. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 2. Panama City is now 37-34, D.C. 27-44.
Panama City right fielder Cale Sutton helped the Piranhas to the win. In the bottom of the third inning, the 16-year veteran stroked a 2-run single. For the game, Sutton was 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Panama City manager Matthew Rubo.
