Farmers Bang Out 8-6 Win Versus Billings
|
Behind a solid performance from shortstop Min-tae Yi, the Lancaster Farmers defeated the Billings Polar Bears, 8-6. Yi went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Farmers. Lancaster reliever Bert Gean got the win, raising his record to 4-0. Ramón García was tagged with the loss. Lancaster, now 8-5, has played well in the early going.
Yi went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 against the Polar Bears. With the game tied in the bottom of the fifth inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run that scored 1 and put Lancaster in front, 7-6.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Yi said.
