Atoms Continue Skid Thanks to Serrato, Nationals
|
The Ottawa Nationals bested the Bethesda Atoms, 6-5, at Nationals Park. Alejandro Serrato was named player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Ottawa is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 13 games.
Serrato contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Ottawa in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Serrato took a fastball from Osiris St. Brown and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Nationals to leap in front, 6-3.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Serrato.
