The 1837 BBC faced a stiff challenge from Buckhead pitcher António Castillo, but persevered to claim a win at 5 Paces Park. The final score was 4-3. Castillo went 8.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Roy Alsobrook picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-2. António Castillo was tagged with the loss. Houston occupies 6th place in the Third League at 50-50.
Eduardo Pampin's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a curveball from Tyler MacHugh for a 2-run home run. It put Houston in front, 4-2.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Buckhead manager Kerry Hofmeister said following the tough loss.
