Bowers Sensational for 84s
|
Quentin Bowers pitched a gem to lead Greenville to a 2-0 victory over the Seattle Aviators. Greenville currently is in last place in the Third League at 35-48.
Bowers was in the zone all game. He frustrated Seattle hitters while giving the 84s 7.2 innings of quality work. Bowers threw 99 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 5 punchouts.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Bowers said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
