Multi-HR Day for Raimbault as Renaissance Overpower Legion, 7-5
|
Behind a solid performance from left fielder Alexis Raimbault, the Detroit Renaissance defeated the Kingston Township Legion, 7-5. Raimbault belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Renaissance. Jaime Carrión got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.2 innings. Esteban Ruíz, credited with the save, is now 8 for 9 in save opportunities.
Raimbault had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-2 fastball from Kazu Omori, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Renaissance a 7-5 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Raimbault.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Raimbault.
The 9th-place Legion have lost 4 consecutive games.
